Why was I charged twice for my task?

When you book a task, a hold is placed on your card for the full amount of the task. After the task has been completed, your card is charged for the task. Depending on how long it takes for your bank to remove the hold, it may temporarily appear that you have two charges on your account. The time it takes for the hold to disappear on your account depends entirely on your bank. Most banks take an average of 1-3 business days to remove the hold. Unfortunately, we are unable to remove this hold sooner.

How do I "size" my apartment for a Whole Apartment Move

Whole Apartment Move tasks are booked by the number of bedrooms (or equivalent) your Apartment/Condo has. Please note that these do not move additional storage units, garages, or patio/outdoor furniture. Additionally, entire homes can only be moved if they fit into the following categories. 

Studio: 1 Living Area (Bedroom/Living Room), 1 Kitchen, 1 Dining Area, 1 Bathroom

1 Bedroom: 1 Living Room, 1 Bedroom, 1 Kitchen, 1 Bathroom, 1 Dining Room

2 Bedrooms: 1 Living Room, 1 Kitchen, 1-2 Bathrooms, 1 Dining Room, 2 Additional Rooms (Bedrooms, Offices, Living Rooms)

Multiple Locations

You can add up to four locations on all tasks except for Apartment Moves (Whole Apartment Moves and Just the Big Stuff). Multiple locations are excluded from Apartment Moves due to special Apartment Move pricing.

Do I need to be at all locations of My Task?

If you are not going to be at one or more locations, please include details for your Helper(s) on who they should contact with questions on-site. An individual will need to be at the pick-up, drop-off, and/or apartment move site. For Store Delivery tasks, you simply include a photo of your receipt if you will not be at the pickup location.

More than 2 Helpers

Taskrabbit Delivery only enables Customers to book a maximum of two Helpers to assist on a Task. Please do not create multiple tasks in an attempt to secure additional Helpers.

Severe Weather

If severe weather is forecasted during the time of your task, we recommend contacting your Helper(s) to discuss rescheduling. Taskrabbit Delivery can also assist you with identifying replacement Helpers if your Helper(s) is unable to reschedule. 

Packing Services

Although not available through Taskrabbit Delivery, the Taskrabbit platform does enable clients to book packing services. To book a Tasker for help with packing, click here. 

Please note: Customers are responsible for ensuring that their items are packed and ready for transport before their Helper(s) arrives to assist with their move.
 

Appliance Installation

Although not available through Taskrabbit Delivery, the Taskrabbit platform does enable clients to book help with appliance installation and repairs. To book a Tasker for appliance installation and repairs, click here. 

TV Mounting

Although not available through Taskrabbit Delivery, the Taskrabbit platform does enable clients to book help with TV mounting, as well as mounting other items. To book a Tasker for mounting services, click here. 

Labor Only Timeblock 

When you book a Labor Only Task, you are reserving a block of a Helper’s time. Once your task has started, you will not be able to reduce the duration of a Labor Only Timeblock task for which you've booked a number of hours. 

Disposal Tasks / Fees

Helpers and Hands can be booked for tasks involving hauling away unwanted furniture and oversized items. You can book this as a standalone haul away task, or request haul away as part of another task (e.g., after getting a couch delivered from a store, get your old couch taken to the dump). Please note: Customers are unable to request haul away tasks involving loose items (i.e., yard waste) unless it is bagged or boxed, or any hazardous materials, including pest-infested items.

In some cities, disposal facilities impose a fee for disposing of items. If this is the case for your task, your Helper will add the cost of that fee to your total invoice for the task. Additionally, please make sure that the disposal facility selected is open during the time that your task is scheduled. Hauling away tasks are not available in all areas due the proximity of dump facilities.
