For Taskrabbit Delivery Helpers Only
Introduction
If you are a Helper, and are interested in partnering with a friend, co-worker, or a family member to help out on 2-person tasks as your Assistant, you have the option to do so.
Having an Assistant will update the Helper's account to reflect 'Team' status to request jobs that require 2 persons.
Note that if you register to become a Team and the Assistant is unavailable, Lead Helpers will still have the option to work with other Helpers and Hands.
Registering an Assistant:
Assistants are subcontractors that a Helper engages to perform Tasks. All Assistants must be registered with Taskrabbit Delivery, agree to the Taskrabbit Delivery Terms of Service, and complete a background check. To complete the Assistant registration process, the Assistant will need to:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Possess a valid Federal or State ID in order to pass a background check.
- Possess a valid SSN in order to pass the background check.
Helpers assume full and sole responsibility for the acts of their Assistants and are responsible for any and all compensation, damages, benefits, taxes, withholdings, and expenses for Assistants.
Step 1: Access the Assistant Registration Link from your Helper Dashboard; Assistant Submits Registration
Visit your Helper Dashboard and open the menu in the top-right corner. In the menu, click on Create a Team. A link to the Assistant application can be shared. After the Assistant submits the registration form, they will receive a text message to keep an eye on their email for the next steps.
Step 2: Assistant Registrant Submits Documentation
The Assistant will be asked to agree to the Taskrabbit Delivery Terms of Service, submit identity documentation, and undergo a background check.
Step 3: Registration as Assistant
Once Step 2 is completed, the Assistant and Helper will receive communication confirming the Assistant’s registration. Since the Assistant is a subcontractor to the Lead Helper, they will not have access to the Helper app.
Any additional Assistants beyond the first approved Assistant will need to have the link shared to apply under the Helper. These additional Assistants will be notified of their approval but the Lead Helper will not.
Important Notes
- Assistants become your subcontractor and do not receive any payment from Taskrabbit Delivery.
- Assistants do not have access to the Helper app.
- The use of any person on a Task other than an Assistant is a violation of the Taskrabbit Delivery Terms of Service.
- When requesting and accepting jobs as a 2-person Team, the Lead Helper should only bring one Assistant to the 2-person Task.

Assistant FAQs
I'm currently an active Hand or Helper, can I become a Helper's Assistant?
Yes. If you are currently a Taskrabbit Delivery Hand or Helper and you're interested in working with a specific Helper, ask the Helper for a link to apply to become their Assistant.
You will still have the ability to request your own tasks as a Hand. If the Helper requests a task with their Assistant, they must be sure that you are available and will notify you.
For tasks where you will be an Assistant, only the Lead Helper will be able to see task details in the Helper app. You will not have access for that specific job.
